Josie likes magazines, big cities, ice cream, barre class, chick-lit (at least she reads, okay?), baking, Diet Coke, Essie nail polish, Christmas, organizing things, Scrabble, cheeseburgers, traveling, "Gilmore Girls," and spending as much time as she can with friends and family. And she really loves Sergio, who is probably the kindest, most selfless person she's ever met.
Sergio likes lemonade, documentaries, Josie's chocolate pudding pie, figuring out how things work, his mom's "spicy chicken" (super-descriptive), being early for things, Stephen King books, Disney Channel Original Movies (but only the OG '90s ones), Trivial Pursuit, and petting dogs when he's out on the Twin Cities streets. And he really loves Josie, because she celebrates half-birthdays, knows all the good places to eat, and has nice eyes.
Sergio swept Josie off her feet in what was, unbeknownst to him, the most effective way possible—with words. Early online messages included mention of Sleepless in Seattle, Aaron Sorkin, Sour Patch Kids, and a question about Oxford comma usage, so he was basically in from the start. A four-hour first date, a misunderstood defining-the-relationship talk, a hundred walks around lakes, a symbiotic baking-sugar addiction, a lot of trips where Josie hustles Serge around cities, and several scoops of ice cream later, here we are.
